3月，这部独一无二的戏剧交响曲将作为“上海之春”国际音乐节“中法音乐交流展演季”开幕演出，亮相捷豹上海交响音乐厅。著名指挥家、钢琴家、上海歌剧院院长许忠，将执棒上海歌剧院合唱团、交响乐团，与于浩磊、王潇希、余杨等优秀歌唱家一起，倾情演绎在音乐中与观众一起感受柏辽兹对莎士比亚的热爱，和对理想爱情的向往。

Berlioz is considered the pioneer of French Romanticism, who practiced his own idea of "close integration of music, literature and theatre" and opened up a new situation in symphonic music. This "musical genius of the19th century", as the famous French philosopher and writer Romain Rolland called him, has left us a rich musical heritage and a unique and unforgettable mark on the history of music. Caught among musical ideals, love fantasies, hard life and harsh reality, Shakespeare's soul-searching questions for Hamlet also haunted and tormented Berlioz throughout his life. It is the choice of "to be or not to be" that gives his music, his loves and his thoughts an inimitable colour in French Romanticism. And Romeo and Juliet is one of his most innovative and legendary masterpieces.
The China-French Music Exchange Season of the Shanghai Spring International Music Festival will open with this unique Symphonie Dramatique at the Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Hall in March. The President of the Shanghai Opera House, Maestro Xu Zhong, the renowned conductor and pianist, will enthusiastically perform this piece with the Chorus and Symphony Orchestra of the Shanghai Opera House and the soloists Yu Haolei, Wang Xiaoxi and Yu Yang. We will express Berlioz's passion for Shakespeare and his yearning for ideal love through music.
