友情三重奏由郑明勋提议，由三位艺术家共同组成。王健、竹泽恭子、郑明勋是中日韩三国最顶尖的艺术家，他们希望通过共同巡演，提醒人们重视三个东亚国家的交流，增进友谊。
郑明勋是享誉世界的指挥家、钢琴家。1974年他获得在莫斯科举办的柴科夫斯基国际钢琴比第二名。他也指挥过多个世界顶级乐团，包括柏林和维也纳爱乐乐团。郑明勋也是德国DG唱片公司的签约艺术家，他的许多录音都获得了国际大奖。
竹泽恭子是音乐的化身，是日本硕果仅存的元老级小提琴家。她与包括纽约爱乐、伦敦交响乐团、巴伐利亚广播交响乐团等一流乐团合作过。作为室内乐演奏家，她还与斯特恩、马友友、沃尔夫冈·萨瓦利什、约瑟夫·苏克等名家合作过。她在1986年获得过第二届印第安纳波利斯国际小提琴比赛金奖。
王健是具有世界影响力的华人大提琴家，他曾经与皮雷斯和杜梅组成三重奏，在环球音乐DG留下经典录音。作为独奏家，王健和世界很多顶尖乐团进行过合作，其中包括柏林爱乐乐团、纽约爱乐乐团，克林夫兰管弦乐团，芝加哥交响乐团等。
The Friendship Trio was initiated by Myung-Whun Chung, and established by the three artists. Wang Jian, Kyoko Takezawa and Myung-Whun Chung are the top artists in China, Japan and Korea. They hope, through joint tour, to remind people to attach importance to exchanges between the three East Asian countries and enhance friendship.
Myung-Whun Chungis a world-renowned conductor and pianist. In 1974, he won second prize at the Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow. He has conducted virtually all the world’s leading orchestras, including the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic. As a recording artist for Deutsche Grammophon，many of his numerous recordings have won international prizes and awards. In 2014: release of his first solo piano recording dedicated to childhood.
Kyoto Takezawa is the embodiment of musicality and a distinguished veteran violinist from Japan. She has collaborated with top orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician, she has also collaborated with esteemed artists such as Isaac Stern, Yo-Yo Ma, Wolfgang Sawallisch, and Joseph Suk . In 1986，she was awarded the Gold Medal at the Second Quadrennial International Violin Competition of Indianapolis.
Wang Jian is a world-renowned Chinese cellist who has made a global impact. He has formed a trio with Pires and Dumay, leaving behind classic recordings under the label Deutsche Grammophon. As a soloist, Jian Wang has performed with many of the world’sleading orchestras, including Berlin Philharmonic,ClevelandOrchestra, and Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
