为揭开苏交新一乐季的序幕，许忠大师携庞大阵容献上来自十九世纪意大利和二十世纪德国最为出众的声乐音乐----从歌剧大师贝里尼、莱翁卡瓦诺和多尼采蒂的几首关于爱、背叛与丧失的精彩咏叹调，到德国作曲家奥尔夫绘制的广袤生命景观。作曲家贝里尼曾说：“经由歌唱，歌剧必须使人哭泣、颤栗，甚至使人体验死亡”我们就从《诺尔玛》这抒情悲剧暴风雨般的序曲中出发，多尼采蒂的《爱之甘醇》以轻盈姿态展现了一个美丽的误会，而《拉美莫尔的露琪亚》的主题依旧是被爱点燃的痴狂。
上半场浓烈的私密情感与下半场的重磅曲目----奥尔夫的巨作《布兰诗歌》形成对照，这部神秘而壮丽的现代合唱康塔塔由二十五个乐章构成，其文本意蕴之丰沛深刻，依旧切中当代生活重要命题：时运之无常，生命之短暂，春归之雀跃，世俗享乐带来的欢悦与危机……
Maestro Xu Zhong kicks off the new Suzhou Symphony Orchestra season with the best vocal music of the nineteenth-century Italy and the twentieth-century----Germany from some greatest arias about love, betrayal and loss by Donizetti, Bellini and Leoncavallo to the sweeping landscape of life of Orff. We begin with the stormy prelude (Sinfonia) of NORMA, a tragedia lirica by Bellini who once wrote: “Opera, through singing, must make one weep, shudder, die.” Whilst Donizetti tells the story about a beautiful misunderstanding in the light-hearted L’ ELISIR D’ AMORE, madness ignited by love continues to be the theme of his LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR.
The intimate yet intense personal emotion of the first half of the concert contrasts CARMINA BURANA, the magnum opus of Orff that features the entire second half, the text of this mysterious and magnificent modern cantata covers a wide range of topics, as familiar in the 13th century as they are in the 21st century: the fickleness of fortune and wealth, the ephemeral nature of life, the joy of the return of Spring, and the pleasures and perils of hedonism.
