什么是Yanchester（杨彻斯特）？

Wot the f_ck is Yanchester?

Yanchester诞生于一个文字游戏，可直译为“杨彻斯特”，简称为“杨村”。是Burley Quay主唱大鱼在一次微醺后取“杨浦”和"Manchester"各半，拼成的专有名词。

It was born from a random chat after a few drinks back in Ale Garden, a little pub located in the north of Shanghai. Literally It’s the combination of Yangpu and Manchester. Burley Quay’s front man Chester made this up to convince his English friends to come to the pub travelling through half of Shanghai. What a cunt… but definitely legend.

杨村是一个散漫的社群，也泛指上海杨浦区的地下音乐场景。工业区大环境，工薪阶层文化，以及此起彼伏的出色乐队和音乐文化风潮。

There are too many common points between the two places, northern spirits, working class, industrial history, loads of great young rock bands… Yanchester is such an idle and unique community silently spreading and appealing everywhere in Shanghai.

杨村的乐队们仿佛比起疫情期间更沉寂了。事实上，他们正在加倍努力排练和创作中，准备好在新的一年大展拳脚。而对于所有热爱现场音乐的人，“杨彻斯特”早已超过了一场演出本身。对于扛过了疫情拳脚和病痛折磨的我们，“杨彻斯特”是一个让我们在春暖花开时相聚的契机。一起呼吸来自杨彻斯特的全新空气吧！一切的“不确定”都已化为乌有，我们的狂欢就在此时此刻，确定发生。

During and after the dreary lockdown of Shanghai, limited choice was left to the young bands in Yanchester, but to get down, get quiet and subside. They absorbed everything they saw and experienced and turned it into strengths, into music, into every note they are going to play on and off the stage. After the ‘uncertainty’ of Yanchester 3.0 back in Nov, 2022, Yanchester 4.0 is way more than a gig or a show, it’s a moment that we gather while we are breathing the fresh air underneath the sky, and celebrating for what has happened and what is happening now.

杨彻斯特英伦扛把子。一支活跃在上海东北角杨彻斯特(Yanchester)的英伦摇滚乐队。这群年轻人深受Oasis, the Stone Roses等乐队启蒙，在brit-pop的汤底加入funk/hard rock/迷幻调味，创造着自己的风格。他们仿佛从90年代的英国穿越而来，带着纯正的guitar rock在上海的独立音乐场景掀起波澜。

恶犬领主、电驴骑士和哈雷路轧。

试图在下沉中上升是无力的，尝试在下沉中喝醉却很容易，当我们酒醒的时候，我们会忘记昨天的沉沦，尝试再往上爬一爬，在我们下沉时，我们安慰自己这是某个时代的基本属性。

下沉广场是漩涡中心漂浮的一块塑料泡沫，在无尽的下沉中，借用酒精和噪音制造垂死的浮力，千万不要试图把我们塞进救生衣，一丁点的期望，就足够让我们窒息。

人间是吵闹广场，吵闹广场在吵闹中下沉，下沉广场在下沉中起舞。

Doppler Drive是2022年在上海组建的一个摇滚三人乐队，主要受超级经典乐队Nirvana(涅槃)，Foo Fighters (喷火战机)的影响。他们以非常具有冲击力的节奏和吉他Riff为基调，给观众展现具有力量，精准，抓耳的，久违的摇滚乐体验。

“Chopping斩波”是一种很新的挑战，是由伯利港乐队来自曼彻斯特的吉他手Matt带来的，正宗的曼城酒鬼玩法。具体就是把一杯啤酒放在肱二头肌或者前臂上，在酒杯将倾之际用最快速度把酒喝干。

为了让大家更好地感受杨村文化，以至于以前所未见的角度出现在返程路上，我们决定开展斩一波，送一波的活动。付一杯啤酒的钱并斩波成功，就可以免费获得一杯同款啤酒！在演出开场前或者乐队换台间隙，不妨来试试~

'chopping' is a new challenge, which is brought by Matt, Burley Quay’s guitarist from Manchester. It is an authentic Manchester drunkard game. Specifically, put a cup of beer on your bicipital muscle or forearm, and swallow it as quickly as possible when the cup is about to tilt.
