漳州布袋木偶戏又称“掌中戏”，历史悠久，文化积淀深厚，南宋时兴盛于漳州，堪称中国木偶艺术的一大珍稀范本。2006年漳州布袋木偶戏和漳州木偶头雕刻被列为首批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。演员把木偶像手套一样套在手掌上操纵表演，轻巧灵活。布袋偶戏尤为擅长武打场面。“大鲸鱼”特邀漳州市布袋木偶传承保护中心的艺术家们为孩子们呈现享誉国际的经典作品，其中代表作《两个猎人》在2004年捷克布拉格举行的木偶比赛中荣获“最佳表演奖”。孩子们将一睹原汁原味的漳州布袋木偶戏精粹，领略精致的木偶头雕刻艺术，感受艺术家们精湛的指掌功夫。
Zhangzhou Hand Puppet Show, also known as the “Palm Puppetry”, has a long history and profound cultural heritage. It flourished in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) and is regarded as a rare model of Chinese Puppet Art. In 2006, the Zhangzhou Hand Puppet Show and the carving craftsmanship of the Zhangzhou puppet-head were enrolled in the first batch of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage list. The puppet is put on the palm of the hand like a glove, which is light and flexible. Hand puppets excel at presenting acrobatic fighting. “Big Whale” invites Zhangzhou Hand Puppet Heritage Protection Center to present its internationally acclaimed works including the classical piece Two Hunters, which won the “Best Performance Award” at the Czech Prague Puppet Arts Festival in 2004. Children will have the opportunity to appreciate the authentic Zhangzhou hand puppets, be initiated into the beauty of puppet-head carving and feel the virtuosity of manipulating hand puppets.
